Abstract:Mobile computing is beginning to break the chains that tie us to our desks, but many of today’s mobile devices can still be a bit awkward to carry around. In the next age of computing, there will be an explosion of computer parts across our bodies, rather than across our desktops. Jewelry is worn for many reasons — for aesthetics, to impress others, or as a symbol of affiliation or commitment. Basically, jewelry adorns the body, and has very little practical purpose. The combination of microcomputer devices and increasing computer power has allowed several companies to begin producing fashion jewelry with embedded intelligence i.e., Digital jewelry. Digital jewelry can best be defined as wireless, wearable computers that allow you to communicate by ways of e-mail, voicemail, and voice communication. This visionary paper concentrates on how instead of one single device, eg: cell phones will be broken up into their basic components and packaged as various pieces of digital jewelry. It also enlightens on how various computerized jewelry like ear-rings, necklace, ring, bracelet, etc., will work with mobile embedded intelligence. It seems that everything we access today is under lock and key. Even the devices we use are protected by passwords. It can be frustrating trying to keep with all of the passwords and keys needed to access any door or computer program. This paper discusses about a new Java-based, computerized ring that will automatically unlock doors and log on to computers.

CONVERT DVD TO AVIDIVX/XVID WITH DVD DECRYPTER

How to convert a DVD into a compressed AVI ??
Here is the solution for it..

Install DVD Decrypter to copy or decrypt the DVD files on your system

Install VIDOMI to Encode or convert copied files into AVI

While installing VIDOMI check the Install XVID

After installing VIDOMI, Since the VIDOMI player acts as an AVI player too, so press the mode button to switch to the ENCODE mode

Go to the Options->General Options in VIDOMI and set the OUTPUT EXTENSION to .avi (For more Configurations go through the video below)

Now open the DVD Decrypter and copy the DVD files into your system with the Mode-IFO and Enable stream Processing

You can specify your desired destination in DVD Decrypter and next click on RIP or Start.

Once Ripping is over, Open VIDOMI Player and browse the ripped files for conversion to .avi

Press the arrow button to specify name and destination

Now go to Options->Video Options to choose your video format

Similarly Configure Audio and Output Size Options in the options (Refer the Video)

You can also configure Options->Select Source Range to cut and crop video file

Now press on Start Encoding to complete the conversion to AVI

ABSTRACT

Crawling movement as a motive mode seen in nature of some animals such as snakes possesses a specific syntactic and dynamic analysis. Serpentine robot designed by inspiration from nature and snake’s crawling motion, is regarded as a crawling robot. In this article, a serpentine robot with spiral motion model will be analyzed. The purpose of this analysis is to calculate the vertical and tangential forces along snake’s body and to determine the parameters affecting on these forces. The different types and functions of snake robots are listed. Biological snakes are pervasive across the planet; their diverse locomotion modes and Physiology make them supremely adapted for the wide variety of terrains, environments and climates that they inhabit. A snake-like device that could slide, glide and slither could open up many applications in exploration, hazardous environments inspection and medical interventions. One of the fundamental issues is understanding their locomotion. A wheel turns; the vehicle moves. A leg pushes; the vehicle moves. How a snake moves is not so evident. A worthwhile snake robot has the ability to wriggle into confined areas and traverse terrain that would pose problems for traditional wheeled or legged robots

APPLICATION OF MICROCONTROLLER IN VEHICLE MONITORING AND SECURITY SYSTEM

The VMSS Vehicle Monitoring and Security System is a GPS based vehicle tracking system that is used for security applications as well. The project uses two main underlying concepts. These are GPS Global Positioning System and GSM Global System for Mobile Communication. The main application of this system in this context is tracking the vehicle to which the GPS is connected, giving the information about its position whenever required and for the security of each person travelling by the vehicle. This is done with the help of the GPS satellite and the GPS module attached to the vehicle which needs to be tracked. The GPS antenna present in the GPS module receives the information from the GPS satellite in NMEA National Marine Electronics Association format and thus it reveals the position information. This information got from the GPS antenna has to be sent to the Base station wherein it is decoded. For this we use GSM module which has an antenna too. Thus we have at the Base station; the complete data about the vehicle.

I. ABSTRACT

Free and open source software has had a major impact on the computer industry since the late 1990s and has changed the way software is perceived, developed and deployed in many areas. Free and open source software, is typically developed in a collaborative fashion and the majority of contributors are volunteers. Even though this collaborative form of development has produced a significant body of software, the development process is often described as unstructured and unorganized. This dissertation studies the FOSS phenomenon from a quality perspective and investigates where improvements to the development process are possible. In particular, the focus is on release management since this is concerned with the delivery of a high quality product to end-users. The biggest downside of closed source software is that you have no idea how it was made. You must accept the word of a software vendor for the quality of their own product.

II. INTRODUCTION

Open source technology is an often-misused term, users often think open source is synonymous with free. With the relatively recent rise of the Internet’s influence on production and development of software, open source has become a popular vehicle to obtain widespread use and support of some very popular software titles. In this article, we’ll discuss a definition of open source technology and its relationship with software such as the Linux operating system.
